Best prop bets and analysis for Rob Gronkowski in the NFC Championship

We breakdown the NFC Championship game prop bets for Bucs TE Rob Gronkowski.

Who is the best option at Tight End this weekend?

As the Buccaneers travel to Lambeau field to face the Packers with a plethora of offensive weapons, Rob Gronkowski will look to help secure yet another playoff win alongside Tom Brady. We’ll take an in-depth look at the slew of prop bets on the table at DraftKings Sportsbook for Gronkowski, including yardage and touchdowns, below.

Receiving yards prop: O/U 28.5 (-112)

The veteran tight end has surprisingly gone over the 28.5 receiving yard mark in 11 games this season. But in the Bucs’ two playoff games, Gronkowski has only produced one reception (six targets) for 16 yards. In their first meeting in Week 6, Gronk recorded five receptions (eight targets) for 78 yards and a touchdown.

Pick: Over

The Packers’ defense might make it a priority to limit big plays from wide receivers Mike Evans, Antonio Brown, and Chris Godwin. Therefore, that could open up the middle of the field for Gronkowski to feast against Green Bay’s linebackers. But Gronk has been in a funk recently and has been used more as blocker. He might be used again in that role as the Packers’ defensive line wreaked havoc on Jared Goff last week.

Have more receiving yards than Robert Tonyan: Yes (+108), No (-134)

This season, Gronkowski has 45 receptions for 623 yards and seven touchdowns. He’s also averaged 38.9 yards per game, which was the second-lowest total of his career. Tonyan recorded 52 receptions for 586 yards and 11 touchdowns this season. He’s averaged 36.6 yards per game.

Pick: No

The reason I say no here is because Gronkowski has been used more as of blocker than Tonyan. The Packers wide receiver unit played huge last week along with Tonyan, who had four receptions (four targets) for 60 yards. Tonyan faces a tough Bucs’ defense that features two good linebackers in Devin White and Lavonte David.

Touchdown props: Anytime (+220), First/Last (+1500)

As previously mentioned, Gronkowski scored six touchdowns in the regular season. But the 31-year-old hasn’t found the end zone since Week 16, where he scored two touchdowns.

Pick: Anytime

The best bet for this game would be take the anytime touchdown at 22-1 odds. Now granted, Gronk did play well against the Packers’ earlier this season but Green Bay’s defense has only allowed five touchdowns to opposing touchdowns. If the Bucs find themselves inside the red zone look out for Gronk.
