How public is betting and DFS considerations for Andrew Sanchez vs. Makhmud Muradov

In a middleweight bout on the main card for UFC 257, Andrew Sanchez will take on Makhmud Muradov Saturday live from UFC Fight Island and available on ESPN+ PPV. This bout was moved up from the preliminary card after Azaitar-Frevola was canceled because Ottman Azaitar violated UFC’s health and safety protocols.

The 32-year-old Sanchez enters into the octagon as the underdog, with a professional fighting record of 12-5. This will be his second fight in five months. “El Dirte” last fought in August at UFC Fight Night 174, where he defeated Wellington Turman by a knockout in Round 1.

Sanchez lands 4.82 significant strikes per 15 minutes, with an accuracy of 48 percent. But he absorbs a lot of strikes per minute at 4.79, while his defense is also at 48 percent. The 6-foot-1 fighter can also wrestle on the mat with a 2.65 takedown average per 15 minutes with an accuracy of 34 percent.

The 30-year-old Muradov will be competing in his third UFC fight on Saturday night. He has a perfect record in the UFC at 2-0 and at at 24-6 as he has won 13 straight bouts. In his only two UFC fights, Muradov lands 4.97 strikes per minute with 41 percent accuracy. Unlike his opponent in Sanchez, “Mach” absorbs fewer significant strikes (2.57), but he does a good job defending against them at 64 percent.

It is surprising to Muradov priced $1000 higher than Sanchez, despite this being his third-ever UFC fight. However, do not let that fool you into taking “Mach” over “El Dirte.” Sanchez brings more value to your DFS lineup as he averages 76.4 fantasy points per fight. In his last fight, the 32-year-old scored 116 fantasy points as he landed a KO/TKO in the first round. He also added 28 significant strikes and one knockdown. Unlike Muradov, Sanchez can grapple which should give you some knockdown points on Saturday night.
