What to do with Aaron Rodgers in the NFC Championship

We go over the fantasy football and DFS outlook of Aaron Rodgers ahead of the Packers matchup up against the Bucs in the NFC Championship.

Brady or Rodgers? Who to start at QB this weekend

Aaron Rodgers has really only had one bad game this season, one game where his fantasy scoring a was a bust. That outing was against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers back in Week 6, the same team the Green Bay Packers will host on Sunday for the NFC Championship. I wouldn’t get too hung up on the past here, that one game aside, Rodgers is a very good bet for fantasy this week.

Fantasy Football analysis: Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, $6,500

Rodgers had at least two touchdowns, usually more, in every game he played this season, except that Week 6 loss to the Bucs. In that one, he mustered just 160 yards and threw two picks, no scores, and had a 45 percent completion rate on his passes. That game was also an outlier for the Bucs; it was the only time they didn’t allow a quarterback to throw a touchdown pass against them.

Last week looked like a tough matchup for Rodgers too, taking on the NFL’s top scoring defense. He hung 296 yards, two passing touchdowns, and a rushing score on the Rams. I’m not worried about what he’ll do against the Buccaneers.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen are going to get most of the fantasy attention this week, and they’re both priced over Rodgers in DraftKings leagues. To me, that makes Rodgers an ever better deal for your lineup.
