UPDATE: Jan. 25, 3:34 p.m. — D’Lo is unlikely to return to the lineup Monday vs. the Warriors, coach Ryan Saunders told reporters.

Minnesota Timberwolves G D’Angelo Russell is questionable to play in Monday’s game vs. the Golden State Warriors due to a quad contusion. The T-Wolves also list Karl-Anthony Towns and Juancho Hernangomez as out while they’re both in health and safety protocols. Russell was held out of Saturday’s win over the New Orleans Pelicans due to the injury. He has a chance to get back into the lineup.

With Russell out on Saturday, the T-Wolves started Ricky Rubio at PG with Josh Okogie and Malik Beasley. If D’Lo returns, Rubio likely heads back to the bench. Minnesota’s offense actually played well against a good defensive team in New Orleans on Saturday despite KAT and D’Lo being sidelined. The Warriors are a tougher task given how Stephen Curry and Co. have been playing lately. Russell also has some revenge narrative going if he can play against his former team.
