2021 MEAC Tournament: When, Where, How to Watch, Attendance Policy

The MEAC tournament is getting closer and closer, as teams compete for the conference’s automatic bid to March Madness. Nine teams are set to compete for the spot.

The MEAC was unable to complete its tournament last season as college basketball was shut down to the coronavirus pandemic. The North Carolina Central Eagles were the No. 1 seed last year but never played a game in the conference tournament.

Here is everything you need to know for the 2021 MEAC Tournament:

When is the MEAC Tournament?

UPDATE: The MEAC will hold its opening round on March 7, and then quarters, semis, and finals March 11-13.

The MEAC tournament is scheduled to take place March 10-13. This is subject to change due to the coronavirus, and we’ll update accordingly.

Where is the MEAC Tournament?

According to the conference website, the first round is scheduled to be held at campus sites, followed by the rest at the Norfolk Arena in Norfolk, Virginia.

How can I watch the MEAC Tournament?

TV info has yet to be announced but in 2020, the tournament aired on FloHoops.com followed by the championship airing on ESPN2. The final can be streamed on the ESPN app with a cable or streaming service login. If you don’t have a cable login to access the ESPN app, you can get a free trial from YouTube TV, Hulu with Live TV, AT&T TV, FuboTV, or Sling TV to stream it.

Will fans be allowed to attend the MEAC Tournament?

At this point, the MEAC has yet to announce its attendance policy for the conference tournament.
