Maryland (9-7, 3-6 Big Ten) might be turning it around after a 63-49 win over Minnesota in The Barn, one of the toughest places to play in the league. Eric Ayala had 21 points to lead all scorers, and as a team they held Minny to just 5-23 from three-point range. The Terps can score, finishing 30th in adjusted efficiency, but they need to be able to get stops as they concede 102.3 points per 100 possessions.
Wisconsin (12-4, 6-3 Big Ten) are seventh in adjusted defensive efficiency, and turn it over as little as any team in America with just 12.6% of their possessions ending in giveaways. D’Mitrik Trice makes them go, scoring 14.6 points per game and shooting 42.5% from three-point range. The senior point guard out of IMG Academy is in his fifth year in College Park, and would be a candidate for conference player of the year if not for Luka Garza at Iowa.

Point Spread, Totals, Odds, Trends
Point spread: Wisconsin -3.5
Point Total: 130.5
Money line: Wisconsin -175, Maryland +143
- Wisconsin is just 7-8-1 against the spread and has covered in less than half of its games.
- While Maryland has been on a role lately, it’s still one 7-8 against the spread.
The Best Bet
Maryland got the best of Wisconsin earlier this season and has beaten two ranked teams in its last four games. Two of the Badgers’ three losses came to better, ranked teams. The Terrapins have all the momentum in the world and home-court advantage this time, so I like the value in picking the underdog for an upset on the moneyline.
Pick: Maryland +143
