How and what to watch for No. 14 Wisconsin vs. Maryland

The Maryland Terrapins are set to host the No. 14 Wisconsin Badgers on Wednesday in a Big Ten men’s basketball matchup on Wednesday night.

Maryland (9-7, 3-6 Big Ten) might be turning it around after a 63-49 win over Minnesota in The Barn, one of the toughest places to play in the league. Eric Ayala had 21 points to lead all scorers, and as a team they held Minny to just 5-23 from three-point range. The Terps can score, finishing 30th in adjusted efficiency, but they need to be able to get stops as they concede 102.3 points per 100 possessions.

Wisconsin (12-4, 6-3 Big Ten) are seventh in adjusted defensive efficiency, and turn it over as little as any team in America with just 12.6% of their possessions ending in giveaways. D’Mitrik Trice makes them go, scoring 14.6 points per game and shooting 42.5% from three-point range. The senior point guard out of IMG Academy is in his fifth year in College Park, and would be a candidate for conference player of the year if not for Luka Garza at Iowa.
