The Clemson Tigers will host the No. 25 Lousiville Cardinals in an ACC men’s basketball matchup on Wednesday.

Lousiville (10-3, 5-2 ACC) is one of the ACC’s four ranked teams and is just two games back from No. 8 Virginia with a 5-2 record in conference play. Carlik Jones is one of the best senior point guards in America, keeping things going for a team that is in the Top 50 in America in both offensive and defensive efficiency. Louisville just needs to make more threes, as they shoot just 32.6% from downtown, good for 206th in the country.

Clemson (9-4, 3-4 ACC) sits in eighth place in conference play amid a three-game losing streak. and will look to bounce back against a Cardinals team that’s lost two of its last three. They shoot just 32.3% from downtown, and really struggle to score in a tough league with an eFG of just 49%. They’ll need Aamir Simms to be better, as he had just five points in 25 minutes against FSU

Point Spread, Totals, Odds, Trends

Point spread: Clemson -2
Point Total: 128.5
Money line: Louisville -106 , Clemson -115

  • Louisville is 3-3 in their last six against the spread, but have gone over the total in four of their last five.
  • Clemson is 0-4-1 in their last five to the number, and the total has gone over in the last six.

The Best Bet

Louisville hasn’t been at its best lately and Clemson beat the No. 16 Florida State team that the Cardinals fell to earlier this season. That might be enough to make the public lean on Clemson, but I think there’s more value in betting on an underdog that’s been more consistent and isn’t riding a three-game losing streak.

Pick: Louisville -106
