The Brooklyn Nets split a two-game series with the Atlanta Hawks earlier in the regular season but will now get a chance to run it back on Wednesday with their new-and-improved roster. Trae Young (ankle), Clint Capela (hand), and Cam Reddish (Achilles) are listed as questionable to play, so this game could get out of hand if they’re sidelined. Let’s take a look at some ideal bets to make on the matchup.
Brooklyn Nets vs. Atlanta Hawks, 7:30 p.m. ET, NBA League Pass
Pick ATS: Nets -6
Atlanta played Young and Capela on Tuesday after giving them both the night off against the Milwaukee Bucks. If they sit again, picking Brooklyn against the spread is a no-brainer. Young and Capela are the Hawks’ two most important players, and Atlanta won’t have nearly enough firepower on offense to keep up with Kyrie Irving, James Harden, and Kevin Durant. The shorthanded Miami Heat at least had one All-Star on their side to keep them afloat. Things could get interesting if Young and Capela play, but I don’t advise waiting for news that could be last minute.
Player Prop: DeAndre Jordan O7.5 points (+110)
Jordan is shooting a ridiculous 81.4 percent from the floor and has scored at least 8 points in five straight games. Harden’s ability to open up the floor for bigs by drawing attention on drives is unparalleled, and Jordan’s outlook will be even better if Capela doesn’t play. This line could move fast if Capela is ruled out for the game early, so its best to get on it now,
