You need three teams to play a college basketball game, and the No. 3 Villanova Wildcats and UConn Huskies were ready to go for their nationally televised matchup tomorrow night in Storrs, Connecticut... but the officials were not.
So the game is postponed for now according to Dana O’Neil of The Athletic. No word yet on when it will be rescheduled.
Villanova-UConn game scheduled for tomorrow is off because of positive test with the officiating crew.

The Cats are 10-1 this season, and have dealt with plenty of COVID-19 issues themselves. They’ve eight in a row since an OT loss on a neutral floor to the Virginia Tech Hokies, and feature one of the better scoring duos in college basketball with Collin Gillespie and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl.
The Huskies continue their rebuild under Dan Hurley and are 8-3 and 5-3 in the Big East this season, but their only top-tier win so far is over USC in November. They’ve fallen to Creighton twice already, but will have two more chances against Villanova if this game is made up as they’re already scheduled for a game in Radnor on February 20th.
