In the second of only four games on the NBA schedule for Thursday night, the Golden State Warriors will be playing the Phoenix Suns at 10:00 p.m. ET. This is the second game of back-to-back from both teams, who played on Wednesday night.

Golden State (10-8) is just completed a two-game sweep over the Minnesota Timberwolves, with a 123-111 victory on Wednesday night. The Warriors have now won three of their last five games. Against the Timberwolves on Wednesday, rookie center James Wiseman led the Warriors in scoring with 25 points (9-14 FG, 3-3 3pt) and six rebounds off the bench. He was one of five Warriors players in double figures. Golden State shot 52.9 percent from the field and 44.1 percent from three-point range.

As for the Suns (8-8), they have lost three-straight games and four out of their last. On Wednesday night, Phoenix lost 102-97 to the Oklahoma City Thunder as they were without Devin Booker for the second-straight game. Chris Paul carried the offensive workload for Phoenix, scoring 32 points on 12-of-21 shooting from the field and 3-of-8 from behind the arc.

However, he did not receive much more help as only two other players scored more than 10 points (Jae Crowder - 17, Abdel Nader - 12). Defensively, the Suns allowed all five Thunder starters to reach double figures and shoot 44.7 percent from the field and 40 percent from three-point range.

What can we expect from these two teams in the second game of a back-to-back? And can the Suns snap their mini three-game losing skid? To answer those questions and more, here is our pick against the spread and a player prop you need to consider betting on.

Golden State Warriors vs. Phoenix Suns, 10:00 p.m. ET, TNT

Pick ATS: Suns -2

The line for Thursday night’s game is currently set at two points, with the Suns favored at home. Phoenix has not fared well against the spread recently, going 0-3 in their last three games, which mirrors their current three-game losing streak. Furthermore, they haven’t done well ATS at home in their last five games with a record of 1-4. They could change their fortunes tonight if Booker plays, who has been out with a hamstring injury.

Meanwhile, the Warriors have been money against the spread with a record of 4-2 in their last six games. There only two losses have come against the Utah Jazz (+7) and New York Knicks (-5). But Golden State is only 2-5 against the spread on the road this season. If they want to change those misfortunes, then it begins with defense. GS is allowing 121 points per game and allowing teams to shoot 39.7 percent from distance on the road. That is not going to get it done.
