If you don’t mind betting on the villain, consider a Tom Brady rushing or receiving TD

DraftKings Sportsbook is offering an odds boost for prop bets each day leading up to the Super Bowl. On Thursday, the boost focuses on Tom Brady.

The Super Bowl is a little over a week away, and DraftKings Sportsbook is here to count down to the big game. The book is offering a different boost on prop bet odds each of the next ten days. You’ll have the day to bet it and then the boost goes away.

They are opening the promotion with a Tom Brady odds boost. His odds to score a touchdown via rushing or receiving sits at +450, but for one day you can get +525 odds.

The Super Bowl has played host to some of the wildest plays in NFL history, some of which involved Tom Brady and his team. Without rehashing the greatest hits, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ status as underdogs opens the door ever so slightly to a trick play involving the famously cement-footed Brady. Indeed, the future Hall of Fame quarterback has already found himself on the receiving end of a pass in a Super Bowl, though that play did not unfold as Brady had hoped.

Still, Tampa Bay head coach Bruce Arians seems far more likely to attack the Kansas City Chiefs conventionally. If so, Brady’s best chance at recording a rushing or receiving touchdown would come via a QB sneak at the goal line. Brady has a tremendous success rate on sneaks and that situation arises often enough to validate a wager.

But ultimately, this prop comes down to whether one cares to emotionally invest in Brady. After literally two decades in the league and, as of Feb. 7, 10 Super Bowl appearances, he has reinforced his status as the NFL’s villain. Investing in him, while a viable option in pure football terms, means siding with the seemingly inevitable rather than raging against the dying of the light. It represents the “Eat Arby’s” of sports bets. Choose accordingly.
