Wide receiver Sammy Watkins is set to see his first playoff action this year when the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl 55. A calf injury has kept him out of action since Week 15.
In 10 games played this season, Watkins had 421 yards and two touchdowns on 37 receptions. When healthy, he’s usually the No. 2 receiver behind Tyreek Hill, a distant second. He averaged 42 yards per game, and his best outing was the season opener when he had 82 yards on seven catches and a touchdown. That was just one of three games where he had at least 60 yards. Watkins did put together some good games in the Chiefs’ Super Bowl run last year.
