With Aaron Rodgers playing in MVP form this season, it’s been a huge lift to the Green Bay Packers wide receivers. Nobody has benefitted more than Davante Adams, however, who’s putting up some of the best numbers of any pass catcher in the NFL this season. So how do are these two players shaping up as fantasy football options in Week 17?
Fantasy Football analysis: Packers WR Davante Adams, Allen Lazard
Adams tied a career high with three touchdowns last week against the Titans. It’s the second time this season he’s done that. He also had 142 yards in that one, which is “only” his fourth-highest yardage output in a single game this season. The last time he played against the Bears, back in Week 12, he had six catches for 61 yards and a touchdown.
Lazard is more hit or miss this season. He’s producing at a solid clip for the Packers, but the numbers aren’t usually attractive for fantasy. He had just two catches for 14 yards last week. The last time he scored was back in Week 12, against the Bears.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Green Bay’s passing game is probably going to be a little less efficient this week without David Bakhtiari protecting Rodgers’ blindside, but don’t let that stop you from making Davante Adams a WR1 this week. Lazard is probably best left on the wire this week.
