We go over the fantasy football outlook of Baker Mayfield ahead of the Browns Week 17 matchup against the Steelers.

Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield should have much more success playing with healthy pass catchers this weekend. If you’re counting on him in fantasy football this weekend, let’s take a closer look and see what you should expect.

Fantasy Football analysis: Browns QB Baker Mayfield

Mayfield didn’t have much of a chance at success in his last time out. Cleveland’s top four wide receivers Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins, KhaDarel Hodge and Donovan Peoples-Jones were placed on the COVID-19 list the day before the game. Needless to say, the offense didn’t play very well against the New York Jets.

Mayfield threw the ball 53 times and completed 28 passes for 285 yards. He also fumbled three times, losing two.

Cleveland will clinch a playoff spot with a victory, and the Browns will go up against the Pittsburgh Steelers, which have nothing to play for. In addition, the four receivers have been activated from the COVID list and should be available.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

While Mayfield has plenty of ideal situations heading into this matchup, he’s a No. 2 quarterback at best in Week 17.
