After following up a four-touchdown game with a no-score clunker Arizona Cardinals Kyler Murray will be looking to bounce back this week against a banged up Los Angeles Rams team. Plus, it’s a game with a playoff spot on the line. The question now is whether or not he’ll be a viable fantasy football asset to close out the regular season.
Fantasy Football analysis: Cardinals QB Kyler Murray
Murray had 75 rushing yards and 247 passing yards in a loss to the 49ers last week. He also threw one interception, but no touchdowns, on 50 passing attempts. He also suffered a leg injury late in that game, prompting some concerns about his availability this week. But rest assured, he practiced in full on Wednesday, and should be good to go. The bigger issue now is whether or not he can put up points against a Rams defense that’s been notoriously tough on quarterbacks.
The Rams have allowed just one opposing quarterback to throw multiple touchdowns in their last five games. Last week, Russell Wilson had one passing touchdown on one on the ground, which is a hopeful sign for Murray. Another positive sign is that Murray was the one quarterback who threw multiple touchdowns against the Rams during their last five games; he threw three back in Week 13.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
It’s a tough situation for fantasy owners on the fence about Murray. This is a difficult matchup, and at $7,500 in DraftKings, he’s one of the pricier passers playing this week. However, the ceiling is just too high to leave him out of your lineup.
