In the Cowboys’ 37-17 victory over the Eagles, Dalton Schultz only contributed three receptions for 21 yards. Dallas will be fighting for a playoff spot in Week 17 against the New York Giants, but will Schultz play an important role warranting fantasy consideration?

Fantasy Football analysis: Cowboys TE Dalton Schultz

In the Week 5 battle between these NFC East rivals, Schultz only caught one pass for six yards. As you may remember, Dak Prescott suffered his gruesome injury in that game. The impact of that injury has been felt by the whole offense, including the tight end. Up to this point in the season, Schultz recorded 41% of his receiving yards and half of his touchdowns in the four full games that Prescott played. In the 11 games to follow, he has only surpassed 50 receiving yards once. It’s safe to say that he is not a reliable fantasy option, especially with your season championship on the line.
