We go over the fantasy football outlook of Eric Ebron ahead of the Steelers Week 17 matchup against the Browns.

Game day update: Eric Ebron has been placed on the COVID-19 IR and will NOT play in this game.

The Pittsburgh Steelers don’t have a whole lot to play for in Week 17, and they will be resting plenty of starters. But what about tight end Eric Ebron? If you’re trying to figure out what to do with him this weekend, here’s an overview of what we can expect from him.

Fantasy Football analysis: Steelers TE Eric Ebron

In his last time out, Ebron caught five of seven targets for 47 yards with one touchdown in a 28-24 win over the Indianapolis Colts. It’s a good sign he was able to put together a solid performance, as he left the previous game with a back injury and never returned.

We’ll see how the Steelers handle the tight end position in a game they clearly don’t mind losing to the Cleveland Browns, which have everything to play for. The unknowns make him a pretty risky play especially in Week 17 with likely a lot on the line for fantasy purposes. If he plays a decent amount, it’s possible Mason Rudolph checks down to a reliable tight end often for easy completions.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Ebron is firmly entrenched as a tight end No. 2 for fantasy purposes this weekend. Play him at your own risk.
