What to do with Brandon Allen in Week 17 of the fantasy football playoffs

We go over the fantasy football outlook of Brandon Allen ahead of the Bengals Week 17 matchup against the Ravens.

After sitting out in Week 15 with a knee injury, the Cincinnati Bengals welcomed back Brandon Allen last week. In his return, he completed 29 of 37 passes for a solid 371 yards and two touchdowns, helping his team get the win over the Texans. He’s got his work cut out for him this week against a hungry Baltimore Ravens team playing for a spot in the postseason.

Fantasy Football analysis: Bengals QB Brandon Allen

That was Allen’s best game out of the four he’s played this season. He now has five touchdowns and two picks to go with 877 yards in four outings this season. And with 73 pass attempts in his last two starts, the Bengals haven’t been afraid to throw it with the backup under center.

The Ravens limited the Giants to just one passing touchdown last week. But if there’s a glimmer of hope for Allen and the Bengals this week, it’s that Garden Minshew of the Jaguars had two passing touchdowns and 226 yards the week before that.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

I would still fade Brandon Allen this week. The Ravens have extra motivation, and as much of a pleasant surprise as Allen and the Bengals have been recently, this is a tall order.
