What to do with Deshaun Watson in Week 17 of the fantasy football playoffs

We go over the fantasy football outlook of Deshaun Watson ahead of the Texans Week 17 matchup against the Titans.

It’s Week 17, and the Houston Texans have nothing left to play for, but that’s not going to stop Deshaun Watson. He made it clear that he expects to be on the field this week against the Tennessee Titans, a team trying to lock up a division title and an edge in playoff seeding. The question now is whether or not Watson will remain a solid fantasy football option to close out the regular season.

Fantasy Football analysis: Texans QB Deshaun Watson

Watson’s been an asset in most weeks since the team gave head coach Bill O’Brien the boot. Over the last two weeks, he’s thrown five touchdown passes and topped 300 passing yards in both games. He’s also adding another 30 or so yards rushing in most week, with the chance to score on the ground always a possibility too.

The one issue for Watson this week is that the Texans are likely to be without left tackle Laremy Tunsil. That could impact how much time he has to throw the ball, but it could also force them to turn him loose on the ground more.

The last time Watson faced the Titans, back in Week 6, he threw four touchdown passes.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Though the loss of Tunsil adds risk, Watson is still a solid starting option this week.
