Fantasy Football analysis: Washington QB Alex Smith
The Washington Football Team has desperately missed veteran quarterback Alex Smith in their last two games. After winning four games in a now, the Football Team went on a two-game losing skid thanks to the lackluster play of Dwayne Haskins, who was released earlier this week.
Smith last played in Week 14 against the San Francisco 49ers, where he completed 42.1 percent of his passes for 57 yards and an interception. Before exiting the game with an injury, the veteran quarterback was playing solid in WFT’s previous three games.
Smith was 67-of-97 for 611 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions. These weren’t eye-popping stats but just enough to maybe consider placing a waiver claim on Smith. He also averaged 10.75 fantasy points over that span of time. On Sunday, Smith will be going an Eagles’ defense that will be missing a lot of their starters. This season, Philly is giving up 19.3 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks and 13.4 yards per completion in their last three games.
