We go over the fantasy football outlook of Boston Scott ahead of the Eagles Week 17 matchup against Washington.

Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders scored his second rushing touchdown in three games last week against the Cowboys. It turned out to be the last work he would receive this season. Sanders was added to the Eagles injury report on Thursday with a knee injury and then sat out Friday practice. The team ruled him out following practice.

The Eagles have ruled out a host of players now that they are eliminated from playoff contention. Boston Scott will get the start in place of Sanders on Sunday Night Football against the Washington Football Team.

Fantasy Football analysis: Eagles RB Boston Scott

Scott has been primarily a complementary option to Sanders this season. He saw extended work in Week 7 and 8 when Sanders was sidelined by injury. In those two games, Scott had 27 carries for 116 yards, and five receptions for 55 yards and a touchdown.

Philadelphia faces a Washington team that can clinch the NFC East with a victory and thus has everything to play for on Sunday. Washington ranks 13th in run defense efficiency, but has given up the third fewest fantasy points to running backs. Scott has value in terms of sheer volume, but his best value is in PPR leagues.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Start Boston Scott in PPR leagues as flex. Sit in more shallow standard leagues, start as flex in 14+ team leagues.
