What to do with T.J. Hockenson in Week 17 of the fantasy football playoffs

We go over the fantasy football outlook of T.J. Hockenson ahead of the Lions Week 17 matchup against the Vikings.

After a solid run as a worthy starting tight end in fantasy football, Detroit Lions tight end T.J. Hockenson has now had a pair of games with seriously decreased production. Whether or not he can produce this week largely hinges on whether nor Matthew Stafford is healthy enough to play a full four quarters against the Vikings on Sunday.

Fantasy Football analysis: Lions TE T.J. Hockenson

Hockenson had four catches on six targets last week with Chase Daniel taking over for Stafford after the veteran signal caller suffered an ankle injury. The tight end had 23 yards to show for it. The week before that, Hockenson was targeted just four times, catching two for a meager 18 yards.

The Vikings rank 11th against tight ends, according to DraftKings. They gave up 82 yards to Jared Cook in getting embarrassed by the Saints last week. With Stafford practicing this week, his chances of starting are better, which gives Hockenson some upside.
