The Minnesota Vikings have nothing to play for this week when they take on the Detroit Lions on Sunday afternoon. However, it’s at least another week to take advantage of quarterback Kirk Cousins’ recent run of decent play in your fantasy football lineups.

Fantasy Football analysis: Vikings QB Kirk Cousins

Despite some decidedly subpar efforts this season, Cousins has at least produced over the second half of the season. He’s thrown just three interceptions since Week 8. Last week against the Saints, he threw for 291 yards and three touchdowns.

The Lions have been terrible against quarterbacks lately. They gave up six passing scores to the Bucs last week, including two from Blaine Gabbert. The week before that Ryan Tannehill had five touchdowns, three through the air and two on the ground. The last time Cousins saw the Lions defense, in Week 9, he threw for 220 yards and three scores.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Kirk Cousins is a great play this week. And at $6,300 in DraftKings leagues, he’s a more affordable, higher ceiling option than some other quarterbacks.
