Game day update: Edmonds is officially active for Week 17.

Game day update: There is optimism Edmonds will play on Sunday, per Ian Rapoport.

Arizona Cardinals running back Chase Edmonds is going to be a game-time decision this week. He’s dealing with a hip injury that he suffered in last week’s game against the 49ers. Listed as questionable on the official injury report, Edmonds missed practice all week, which is never a good sign for a player’s availability.

Fantasy impact: Chase Edmonds (hip)

Edmonds has taken a clear No. 2 role behind Kenyan Drake when it comes to priority in the Cardinals backfield. He had just two catches for eight yards before leaving last week’s game. The week before that, he had his most productive day in over a month, getting 11 carries for 47 yards and three catches for 19 yards and a touchdown, his first since Week 11.

If Edmonds does sit out against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, that will mean a few more touches for Drake, who has six touchdowns in his last six games.
