The Seattle Seahawks clinched the NFC West title in Week 16 with a win over the Los Angeles Rams. They beat the 49ers in Week 17 but could not move up from the No. 3 seed. Instead, they will have a rubber match against the Rams in the Wild Card Round.

Seattle kicked off 2020 looking like one of the most dominant teams in the NFL. Russell Wilson was in MVP form early and hurled touchdown passes left and right to DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett but fell off a cliff in the second half of the season. While the Seahawks only lost two of their last eight games, Wilson was held under 200 passing yards three times after opening up the year on record pace. His struggles and Seattle’s horrendous secondary have made things very difficult. Russ will have to bounce back in a big way against a defense that kept him in check twice during the regular season.
Jared Goff missed Week 17 with a thumb injury but John Wolford was enough to top the Arizona Cardinals and secure the Rams a playoff spot. Los Angeles is hopeful that Goff can return for the playoffs to improve its chances of advancing to the second round but his status is still up in the air. When you have Aaron Donald on the defensive line and Jalen Ramsey leading your defensive backs, you have a chance to win any game. Will the Rams get the best of Wilson again? We’ll find out soon.
