Cole Beasley gets in limited practice Thursday, questionable for WC round

Bills WR Cole Beasley is dealing with a knee injury and is uncertain for the team’s Wild Card round matchup with the Colts.

Thursday update: Beasley was able to practice in a limited fashion on Thursday and is questionable to play against the Colts. There has been no indication on his actual status for Saturday, so we’ll have to wait to see, but I wouldn’t want to trust him to play a full set of downs off of one limited practice.

Wednesday update: Beasley didn’t practice once again, and looks unlikely to play in the first round of the playoffs. Kenny Stills could get the call-up this weekend.

Tuesday update: Beasley was unable to practice on Tuesday, per the team. The Bills did add Kenny Stills to their practice squad last weekend, so they likely aren’t expecting Beasley to be 100 percent by this Saturday.

The Buffalo Bills will host the Indianapolis Colts this weekend in the Wild Card round of the 2021 NFL Playoffs, and wide receiver Cole Beasley seems unlikely to play in the game. Beasley missed Week 17 with a knee injury and head coach Sean McDermott told the media the receiver is still week-to-week, per Matthew Fairburn.

Beasley injured his knee in the fourth quarter of the Bills Week 16 win over the Patriots and did not practice in Week 17. The Bills return to practice on Tuesday to begin preparations for Saturday’s game. McDermott told the media the trainers will see what Tuesday brings as they assess his status.

Week-to-week is never a good designation for the coming game, and it would require a quicker recovery to see Beasley on Saturday. Gabriel Davis had a big performance in his place, catching a pair of passes for 107 yards and his seventh touchdown of the season. Isaiah McKenzie scored a pair of touchdowns on six receptions for 65 yards and was the most targeted receiver, even ahead of Stefon Diggs.
