Wednesday AM injury update

Antonio Gibson sat out practice on Tuesday, as he is managed for his toe injury. It appears that Gibson isn’t 100 percent and he likely won’t get much practice in, but is still on track to play in a tough matchup with the Buccaneers.

Carlos Hyde missed Week 17 with an illness but will return for the Wild Card game against the Rams.

Jonathan Taylor was limited with a shoulder injury on Tuesday, which is new. Right now there is no indication that this injury is anything more than end of the season wear and tear and that Taylor will continue his great play of late.

The Wild Card running back rankings are fairly predictable with Derrick Henry on top, even in PPR, but Jonathan Taylor and Alvin Kamara are right up there with him. Kamara is a bit of a wild card himself, as he tested positive for COVID-19. But, it looks like he could be cleared for Sunday’s game with the Chicago Bears. As long as he is, we know what his upside looks like.

Henry could end up getting hurt by game-script, but we know he’ll get his chances and that’s all he needs to break off a couple big runs. The Titans have beaten the Ravens twice over the last year and change and Henry put up good numbers in both games.

Jonathan Taylor has now risen to stud status over the last six games. In those matchups he’s averaging 19.8 carries for 123.5 yards (6.23 ypc) and has seven rushing touchdowns. His receiving numbers have slowed down as his rushing workload has taken off, but he’s still averaged 2.3 receptions for 16 yards and has a receiving touchdown.

These rankings are based on .5 PPR scoring.
