Wednesday update: Boswell was listed as limited on the injury report. He is on track to return Sunday against the Browns.
Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Chris Boswell has missed the last couple games due to a hip injury, but head coach Mike Tomlin says he has a chance to return this week, per ESPN’s Brooke Pryor.
Boswell was replaced by Matthew Wright, who played well, hitting all four of his field goals and each of his seven extra points. The longest kick he took was 46 yards though and the team would much rather have a healthy Boswell, who has a 59 yarder while hitting 19-of-20 field goals. He has missed four of 38 extra points though.
The Steelers face the Browns in Pittsburgh on Sunday night, which is the last game of the Wild Card round. The extra time should give Boswell enough time to prove he is healthy as long as he is.
The weather in Pittsburgh appears good, with very little wind, so Boswell could be needed for a long kick in this matchup.
