Six members of the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide were among the 26 First Team honorees on the Walter Camp All-American list. Five of those players are on offense, with Patrick Surtain III the lone defender in the list.
The Camp All-American Team is the oldest of all the national football honoree lists, and is voted on by all 130 coaches and sports information directors in FBS football. The SEC cashed a plurality of total winners with 12, followed by the ACC with 11, the Big Ten and Big 12 both placing seven names.
Northwestern defensive back Brandon Joseph is the only player on either the first or second team as a freshman.
