If the Indianapolis Colts are going to have a chance to move beyond the Wild Card round this weekend, they’re going to have to keep pace with an explosive Buffalo Bills offense. With that fact and the over/under on this game (51.5), could the team’s wide receivers offer some value for fantasy football this week?
Fantasy Football analysis: Colts WRs T.Y. Hilton ($5,000), Michael Pittman ($3,500), Zach Pascal ($3,700)
The only reliable one here is Hilton. Even with the bargain bin prices on Pittman and Pascal, they just don’t get a consistent level production to merit a spot in your lineups. Remember too, this is a team that’s going to run the ball as much as it can, leaving few targets to go around. (Running back Nyheim Hines is the second-most targeted play on this team.)
Hilton had 27 yards and a touchdown in the season finale, a game where the Colts didn’t need to do a lot of passing to control the Jaguars. He’s consistently seeing around seven targets per game down the stretch, and should factor into the game plan for Saturday.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Hilton’s a solid WR3 in traditional fantasy leagues. I think he’s also a great bargain for a third receiver or Flex spot in DFS this week—not a real high ceiling, but a pretty consistent floor.
