What to do with Tyler Higbee, Gerald Everett in the Wild Card round of the 2021 NFL playoffs

We go over the fantasy football and DFS outlook of Tyler Higbee, Gerald Everett ahead of the Rams Wild Card matchup against the Seahawks in the 2021 NFL Playoffs.

Lucky you, it’s one more week to try and decide if one of the Los Angeles Rams’ two tight ends is worth using in fantasy football lineups. Long story short, no. You’re best avoiding both Gerald Everett and Tyler Higbee.

Fantasy Football analysis: Rams TEs Tyler Higbee ($3,400), Gerald Everett ($3,000)

The Rams have yet to confirm which quarterback will play on Saturday against the Seahawks. Jared Goff has been doing some throwing, but most indications are that John Wolford will most likely be the starter.

As for Everett and Higbee, the quarterback doesn’t matter too much. Both players contribute to this offense, but not consistently enough to be a reliable fantasy option. Everett saw seven targets last week with Wolford under center, but he caught just two of them for 25 yards. He’s only topped 40 yards once since Week 5 and has just one touchdown in that span.

Higbee had three catches for 41 yards last week. He’s usually a slightly better option than Everett, hence the higher DraftKings salary, but the best you’ll get from him is 60 yards and a touchdown, which isn’t bad, but it’s only happened once since his three-touchdown game in Week 2. Higbee did have 60 yards against the Seahawks back in Week 10, but the last time they played, he and Everett combined for just 47 yards.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

I’d avoid both of these players in whatever fantasy football format you’re playing this weekend.
