Ben Roethlisberger will be back in action for the Wild Card round of the playoffs after resting up during his team’s Week 17 loss to the Cleveland Browns. What can we expect from him come Sunday night?
Fantasy Football analysis: Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger, $6,100
Roethlisberger calmed some of the concerns about his arm strength when he led Pittsburgh on a massive comeback over the Colts in Week 15, throwing for 341 yards and three touchdowns in the process. He recorded 28.5 DraftKings points that day; he hadn’t hit even 20 DK points in four of his past five games. Maybe the week off will do him some good against a Browns pass defense that isn’t exactly a shutdown unit. Roethlisberger’s replacement, Mason Rudolph, compiled 315 yards and two TDs with one interception in Week 17. The Browns ceded two passing scores without a turnover when they faced Sam Darnold in Week 16. Ryan Tannehill diced Cleveland’s defense for 31.6 DraftKings points in Week 13. In total, the Browns have allowed the eighth-most DK points to opposing quarterbacks.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
If Roethlisberger can continue to have success with his downfield throws as he did in Week 16, he will end up with a nice box score this weekend. He is a great value pick at $6,100.
