What to do with Drew Brees in the Wild Card round of the 2021 NFL playoffs

We go over the fantasy football and DFS outlook of Drew Brees ahead of the Saints Wild Card matchup against the Bears in the 2021 NFL Playoffs.

It’s Super Wild Card Weekend in the NFL and thanks to the expanded NFL Playoffs, you’re probably going to see some heavy mismatches like this one between the Chicago Bears and New Orleans Saints.

You can take advantage of these games in daily fantasy, but should you start Drew Brees as your quarterback?

Fantasy Football analysis: Saints QB Drew Brees, $5,700

Last week Brees locked up the 3 seed in the playoffs by throwing three touchdowns against the Carolina Panthers. He looked a bit rusty in weeks before that though after returning from injury, but he’s still thrown for 24 touchdowns and just six interceptions all season.

These teams faced off earlier in the season as well. The Saints won that matchup and Brees threw for 280 yards, two scores and no interceptions. The Chicago defense has given up 28 total scores through the air this year, which ranks about in the middle of the league.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Brees seems to be getting hot at the right time based on his season-finale performance. Plus he’s playing at home against a mediocre at best pass defense.

Start Brees.
