What to do with Jonnu Smith in the Wild Card round of the 2021 NFL playoffs

We go over the fantasy football and DFS outlook of Jonnu Smith ahead of the Titans Wild Card matchup against the Ravens in the 2021 NFL Playoffs.

Tennessee Titans tight end Jonnu Smith wasn’t a large part of the team’s thrilling win over the Houston Texans on Sunday, but he’s got a chance to be more productive in the Wild Card round. Here’s a preview of what to expect from him this weekend.

Fantasy Football analysis: Titans TE Jonnu Smith, $3,200

In Week 17, Smith was targeted just two times, and he finished with one reception for eight yards. This was his worst performance of the season in terms of yardage, and it was a game in which the Titans scored 41 points.

Smith is priced at $3,200 for this game, which ranks sixth among tight ends competing on Sunday. Earlier this season against Baltimore in November, Smith was targeted six times and caught four passes for 20 yards with one touchdown in Tennessee’s overtime win.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

If you’re deciding to start Smith in DFS, you’re simply hoping for a touchdown because the yardage hasn’t been there for him much this season. Smith scored five times in the first four games of the year but has just three since then. If you’re in a fantasy league that benefits players whose teams advance in the playoffs, the Titans are 3.5-point underdogs, so it might be best to stay away from Smith this weekend.
