Game day updates: Since Week 13, J.K. Dobbins has led the Ravens in rushing attempts and has managed the eighth-most rushing yards in the NFL in that span. Dobbins’ O/U for rushing yards sits at 65.5, which is appealing considering their Titans opponent. This defensive unit has allowed the eighth-most rushing yards in that same span since Week 13.
Baltimore Ravens running backs J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards saw relatively equal touches over the course of Week 17’s game with Dobbins the more effective back. What will happen during Sunday’s Wild Card round? Let’s take a closer look at the Ravens backfield.
Fantasy Football analysis: Ravens RBs J.K. Dobbins $6,600, Gus Edwards $4,400
In Week 17, Dobbins had a big game in a blowout win over the Cincinnati Bengals. He finished with 160 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries, highlighted by a 72-yard score late in the third quarter. As for Edwards, he carried the ball one fewer times with 12 attempts for 60 yards.
The Baltimore backfield will meet up with the Tennessee Titans defense, which has really struggled as of late. In a game played in November, Dobbins carried the load against the Titans with 15 carries for 70 yards and a touchdown. Meanwhile, Edwards had just six yards on three carries.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Dobbins is the much more expensive back heading into this game, but Edwards gets the ball enough for there to be value on him. Depending on your roster construction, Edwards could be a solid DFS play. The Ravens are 3.5-point favorites against Tennessee so for those playing playoff fantasy that incentivizes players to move on in the playoffs, both backs are relatively safe picks to advance.
