2nd quarter update: Wolford has been taken from the stadium in an ambulance. It’s safe to say Goff will finish out the game as the starter.
1st quarter update: John Wolford took a blow to the head on a scramble and Jared Goff is replacing him in the lineup. Wolford scrambled for a gain before taking a big hit. Trainers checked out his neck and he was able to walk off the field under his own power. He is headed into the locker room with Goff at the helm.
Starter update: John Wolford will start and Jared Goff will serve as the backup, per Jay Glazer hearing from Sean McVay.
Game status: Jared Goff is ACTIVE and Blake Bortles is inactive. With Bortles inactive, that leaves the Rams with just Goff and John Wolford, which would suggest Goff is healthy enough to play. If that’s the case, one has to think he could start, but there is no word yet.
Pre-game warmups: Goff is on the field throwing warmup passes with a small bandage on his hand. His status will be finalized at approximately 3:10 p.m. ET when inactives are announced.

Game day update: John Wolford took the majority of first team snaps this week, but “Jared Goff has thrown well despite a broken thumb,” per Ian Rapoport. Sean McVay wouldn’t reveal his starter, but if Goff is throwing well, it would seem like an upset if he did not start against the Seahawks.
Are the Los Angeles Rams going to have Jared Goff under center or not when they play the Seattle Seahawks in Saturday’s Wild Card round? That’s been the question on everyone’s mind since Goff was forced to sit in the regular season finale while recovering from surgery to his thumb on his throwing hand. He’s officially listed as questionable on the injury report, and there have been signs emerging from Rams-land that he might be able to play this week.
Fantasy impact: Jared Goff (thumb)
The week began with reports that Goff would be hard pressed to play in the opening round of the playoffs. Since then, he’s been practicing with his team and, more importantly, throwing the ball. He was a limited participant every day this week, which would seem to point to Goff playing.
If he can’t go, John Wolford would make the start. Neither quarterback has much appeal from a fantasy football perspective, but if Goff can play, that’s a big boost to Rams wide receivers Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp, increasing their fantasy outlook.
