The Brooklyn Nets will look for redemption on Tuesday night against a Milwaukee Bucks team that eliminated them from the playoffs in last postseason’s eastern conference semis. The Nets won their season opener last year but will be facing the defending champion Bucks this time, a much better team than last season's Golden State Warriors.
Here are the best player props for the Nets against the Bucks on opening night, courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Giannis Antetokounmpo, over 0.5 three-pointers (-200)
Much has been made about Giannis’ inconsistencies as a three-point shooter, but his improvements during the preseason have made headlines. Rolling into the season with confidence from that preseason success, it’s likely that Antetokounmpo is going to feel good about putting some threes up on Tuesday. Expect at least one to drop.
James Harden, over 8.5 Assists (-170)
James Harden averaged 10.8 assists per game last season, which was the second-highest of his career. With no Kyrie, Harden will have the ball in his hands even more than before. He should get to nine assists with relative ease.
Brook Lopez, under 12.5 Points (-125)
Is Brook Lopez going to be a spot-up three-point shooter? Or will he play near the rim? Those questions will determine whether or not he hits the points total. The best guess is that he camps out near the arc and provides spacing for others, taking himself out of the picture for offensive rebound opportunities and clean-up buckets. Lopez doesn’t quite get to 13 points on Tuesday.
