How and what to watch for No. 10 Mizzou vs. Ole Miss

The Tigers will be looking to move up in the Top-25 rankings when they take on the Rebels Wednesday night.

The No. 10-ranked Missouri Tigers will be trying to keep pace with the Alabama Crimson Tide in the SEC when they play the Ole Miss Rebels Wednesday night at 9 p.m. ET. The Tigers are currently three games behind the Tide for first place.

Missouri (13-3, 6-3) heads into this conference matchup off of a three-point victory over Alabama. The Tigers have won three-straight and four out of their last five games. This season, Mizzou averages 74.8 points per game and only concedes 69.9 points per game on the defensive end. A player to watch is Xavier Pinson, who is averaging 14.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game.

The Rebels (10-8, 5-6) have won two-straight games, including an overtime victory on Saturday against Auburn. In fact, Ole Miss has won their last two games by a total of four points. The Rebels received terrific performances from forward Romello White and guard Devontae Shuler. White had a double-double consisting of 30 points (team-high) and 10 rebounds. Shuler added 26 points, six rebounds, and four assists. The senior guard leads the team in scoring with 15.5 points per game and assists at 3.6 per game.

The Best Bet

When you take a look at the Tigers’ last two losses against the spread, they were against TCU (-10) and Alabama (+3). Mizzou defeated TCU 102-98 in overtime and only lost by six to the Crimson Tide. As for the Rebels, their two losses against the spread happened versus the Georgia Bulldogs and Arkansas Razorbacks. This line is currently in pick’em territory, which means it can go either way. Therefore, playing the total might be the best bet for this conference matchup.
