In a middleweight bout on the main card of UFC 258, Julian Marquez will fight Maki Pitolo Saturday at UFC APEX in Las Vegas and available on ESPN+ PPV.

The 30-year-old Marquez walks into the octagon with a professional fighting record of 7-2. This will be Marquez’s first fight since July 2018 at the Ultimate Fighter Finale 27, where he lost by split decision to Alesso Di Chirico. Along with the defeat, Marquez suffered a serious shoulder injury that knocked him out of competition for two years.

The 6-foot-2 fighter lands 3.48 significant strikes per minute, with 37 percent accuracy. Marquez also absorbs 4.41 strikes per minute, while his defense is at 53 percent.

As for Pitolo, he enters the APEX with a professional fighting record of 13-7, and has lost two-straight bouts. The 30-year-old from Hawaii last fought at UFC Fight Night 175 in August 2020.
