In last game tip-off on ESPN Friday night, the Memphis Grizzlies will head out to west to play the defending NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers at 10 p.m. ET. This is the third time these two teams have played each other, with the Lakers winning both contests in Memphis.

The Grizzlies are coming into this game off of 130-114 win over the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday, which snapped their four-game losing streak. Meanwhile, the Lakers have won six consecutive, including back-to-back overtime wins against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Can Ja Morant and Co. snap the Lakers’ winning streak or will LeBron James and the Lakers come away with their fifth-straight home win. We’ll go over some ideal picks on DraftKings Sportsbook centered around the game here.

Memphis Grizzlies vs. Los Angeles Lakers, 10:00 p.m. ET ESPN

Pick ATS: Lakers -6.5

The line for Friday night’s nationally televised game is currently set at 6.5, with the Lakers being favored at the Staples Center. The Grizzlies are walking into LA wounded as they will be without Brandon Clarke (calf), De’Anthony Melton (shoulder) and rookie Desmond Bane (personal).

Despite having a record of 6-3 against the spread on the road this season, the Grizz are only 1-4 ATS in their last five games. Their lone win happened against the Hornets, where they were 2.5-point favorites. As for the Lakers, Anthony Davis (Achilles) is listed as questionable for Friday night. Davis did not play in their last two games against OKC, but did practice on Thursday.

If Davis doesn’t play, then that should not be a major blow as the Lakers still got LeBron. But it will put more pressure on Montrezl Harrell and Marc Gasol to perform in the frontcourt. This season, the Lakers are only 4-8 against the spread at home this season and 2-7 in their last nine games.
