The Oklahoma State Cowboys haven’t played their best basketball in the month of February, but the Kansas State Wildcats can cure any losing streak no matter how small.
Oklahoma State (12-6, 5-6 Big 12) lost two of their last three games and after a home overtime win over the then-No. 6 Texas Longhorns last weekend, they lost to the unranked Kansas Jayhawks 78-66 on the road on Monday night. The Cowboys’ leading scorer Cade Cunningham went for 26 points on 7-of-18 shooting including 4-for-8 from the three-point line. He also added nine rebounds but had seven of the team’s 18 turnovers. Oklahoma State comes in 21st in adjusted defensive efficiency.
Kansas State (5-16, 1-11 Big 12) is making the case to be among the worst power conference teams in all of college basketball. The Wildcats have lost 11 games in a row, though they have kept it close in their last two losses to the then-No. 13 Texas Tech Red Raiders and then-No. 13 Texas Longhorns, which was an 80-77 home loss on Tuesday night. Third leading scorer and leading rebounder Dajuan Gordon hasn’t suited up in the month of February and is likely to miss another game with a foot injury. Kansas State ranks No. 198 in the latest KenPom ratings, which is the lowest among all power conference teams.

The Best Bet
The over would be a decent play here but let’s keep it simple. Coming off a loss and with limited opportunities to play left in the season because of their postseason ban, Cunningham and the Cowboys roll at home against one of the worst teams in the country.
Pick: Oklahoma State -13.5
