In the marquee primetime game on Saturday night, the Brooklyn Nets will head out to west to play the Golden State Warriors at 8:30 p.m. ET. These two teams played in December to open the regular season, where the Nets won in a blowout 125-99.
The Nets are coming into this game off of a 104-94 win over the Indiana Pacers Wednesday, which snapped their mini three-game losing streak. Meanwhile, the Warriors have won two-straight games, with their latest victory happening against the Orlando Magic (111-106). Can the Nets’ big three snap the Warriors’ winning streak or will Stephen Curry get revenge from their opening season loss? We’ll go over some ideal picks on DraftKings Sportsbook centered around the game here.
Nets vs. Warriors, 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC
Pick ATS: Warriors +4
The line for Saturday night’s game is currently set at four points, with the Nets favored on the road. Brooklyn will likely get Kevin Durant back after missing the last few games due to health and safety protocols. But they will not have starting center DeAndre Jordan, who is out for personal reasons. This means that the Nets could go small in the frontcourt between Durant and Jeff Green.
Without Durant on the floor, the Nets went 1-2 in those games. Brooklyn has also struggled on the road against the spread with a record of 3-8 this season. The Nets’ last road win ATS was on Jan. 29 versus the Oklahoma City Thunder, where they were six-point favorites. As for the Warriors, they march into tonight’s game relatively healthy with the only Wiseman and Looney on the injury report. Golden State has played well at home this season with a record of 9-5 and have a record of 8-6 ATS. But the Warriors have not been great plays as underdogs, only winning win two out of their last six games ATS.
Coincidentally, the last time Golden State was four-point underdogs, they lost 134-132 to the Mavs. But they ended up covering the 4.5-point spread.
Player Prop: Juan Toscano-Anderson O8.5 points (+104)
This is a low-risk, high-reward player prop play for Saturday night’s game. Usually, when I see the Nets’ player props, my go-to Kevin Durant O 2.5 three-pointers made, which is at plus money. However, with Durant just coming back from health and safety protocols, I’m going to go with Juan Toscano-Anderson of the Warriors.
The 27-year-old forward is only averaging 6.6 points per game this season. In the Warriors’ last five games, Toscano-Anderson is averaging 8.8 points per game as starter. But he has gone over 8.5 points in only four games this season.
