The Wake Forest Demon Deacons came oh so close to pulling a huge upset today against the No. 17 Florida State Seminoles, but a last second shot from Scottie Barnes was enough as FSU held on for a 92-85 win in Tallahassee on Saturday afternoon.
Ian DuBose was on the free throw line for the Demon Deacons with five seconds remaining and a 79-78 lead, but he was only able to make one of two. That gave the Noles a chance to attack the basket on the dribble, and a running reverse layup from Barnes with just 0.5 seconds remaining tied it up.

In overtime both DuBose and Ody Oguama fouled out for Wake Forest, leaving them short-handed in the extra session.
Jordan Antonio shined for the Deacs (6-9 3-9 ACC), scoring 23 points on 7-8 from three-point range. The team that has struggled all season managed 1.13 points per possession against one of the best defensive teams in America, but will go away from the Tucker Center empty-handed.
RaiQuan Gray had 24 points and 12 rebounds in 37 minutes for the Seminoles (11-3, 7-2 ACC), and was 10-10 from the free throw line. In an unexpected offensive shootout, FSU won on the glass 39-32 and forced 14 turnovers.
Florida STate has now won 23 in a row at the Tallahassee Leon Civic Center against ACC opponents. The Noles were 12.5-point favorites at tip-off at DraftKings Sportsbook.
