Pick against the spread, best player prop for Heat vs. Clippers on Monday

We go over some of the best betting options for Monday’s matchup between the Miami Heat and LA Clippers.

NBA: Miami Heat at Utah Jazz Russell Isabella-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Clippers will go for their fourth straight win when they host the Miami Heat on Monday, February 15th. The Clippers come in with a 20-8 record, the third best mark across the entire NBA, and they beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 128-111 their last time out on Sunday. Miami comes in with an 11-15 record for a tie for ninth place in the Eastern Conference. The Heat had been playing well with a four-game winning streak before falling to the Utah Jazz 112-94 on Saturday.

Clippers star Kawhi Leonard sat out of Sunday’s win with a leg injury, and it’s uncertain when he will return to the lineup, and Paul George is out indefinitely with a toe injury. Miami will once again be out with point guard Goran Dragic, who hasn’t played since February 5th with an ankle injury.

Update: Kawhi Leonard (leg), Paul George (toe) and Patrick Beverley (rest) are all out for the Clippers. Los Angeles is now +3 on the spread.

Heat vs. Clippers, 10:00 p.m. ET, NBA TV

Pick ATS: Heat +3.5

Check back to the injury reports as it gets closer to game time, but the Heat are a solid play if Leonard is unable to go. Los Angeles was able to get past Cleveland easily without their two best players, but the Clippers should have more of a challenge when against the Heat. After a slow start to the season, Miami has been playing much better in the month of February. The Heat had failed to cover in seven straight games, but they are 3-2 against the spread in their last five.

Player Prop: Serge Ibaka O14.5 points (+103)

There are a lot of player props to take a hard look at for the Clippers. Reggie Jackson’s point total and Lou Williams’ props stick out a lot. I like Ibaka’s number after what he did on Sunday night with all the injuries. Ibaka scored 21 points on an efficient 9-of-14 from the floor. He should get similar run in this game, which should be more competitive. Last night was a blowout game that was over early. Getting some juice on the prop is what I like the most. The other lines are on the flip side.
