No. 9 Virginia has bounced back from its January loss to No. 18 Virginia Tech and secured a fourth straight victory on Saturday against Chapel Hill. The reigning champs will play an ACC Rival in No. 18 Florida State on Tuesday in hopes of keeping its winning streak alive. Can the home team win a second straight game, or will it fall short while the Cavaliers surge forward?
Virginia (15-3, 11-1 ACC) sits atop the ACC standings. The Cavaliers haven’t faced the second-ranked Seminoles yet this season and will need a strong performance from Sam Hauser to get the job done. Hauser has reached double-digits in points in all but two games he’s appeared in and leads Virginia in points and rebounds.
Florida State (11-3, 7-2 ACC) hasn’t beaten any teams that are currently ranked but managed to knock off Clemson. The Seminoles have a chance to beat two top-20 teams in a row, as they’re set to face Virginia Tech on Saturday in a conference matchup. Florida State has largely depended on team ball to get by so far this season, but RaiQuan Gray has been especially productive as of late with double-doubles in two of his last three games. His season-high 24 points helped power his team to an overtime victory against Wake Forest over the weekend.

The Best Bet
Virginia is 5-1 against the spread against Florida State in the Tony Bennett era. I think the Cavaliers’ defensive game planning is capable of neutralizing the Seminoles’ potent scoring.
Pick: Virginia +2
