In one of several games on the NBA’s Tuesday slate, we have the Los Angeles Lakers taking on the Minnesota Timberwolves at 8 p.m. ET. The last time these two teams played each other in December, the Lakers won 127-91 over the T’Wolves.

The Lakers are coming into matchup off of a 122-105 lost to the Denver Nuggets on Sunday, snapping their seven-game winning streak. Also in that game, the Lakers lost Anthony Davis to injury and will be out for the foreseeable future. The Timberwolves saw their four-straight losing streak end on Sunday after they defeated the Raptors 116-112 on Sunday night.

Can LeBron James lead the Lakers to a road win over Minny? Or will the T’Wolves pull the upset over the defending NBA champions? We’ll go over some ideal picks on DraftKings Sportsbook centered around the game here.

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves, 8 p.m. ET

Pick ATS: Lakers -6.5

The line for Tuesday night’s game is currently set at 6.5 points, with the Lakers being favored on the road. Los Angeles has struggled recently against the spread with a record of 1-4 in their last five games. Their lone win came against the Grizzlies (-8.5), where they won by 10 points.

They’ve struggled in their last six road games with a record of 1-5. Los Angeles will lean on Kyle Kuzma and Montrezl Harrell to replace the production of Anthony Davis. The T’Wolves has been stellar against the spread with a record of 7-1-1 in their last nine games. Minnesota will be without D’Angelo Russell again, meaning the offense will be running through Karl-Anthony Towns.

KAT should be able to dominate against the Lakers’ frontcourt, but it will be up to Malik Beasley and Anthony Edwards to score 15-25 points on the perimeter.

Player Prop: Malik Beasley O4.5 rebounds (+100)

This is a player prop that you will want to hit as soon as possible with the odds currently sitting at +100. This season, Beasley is averaging 5.1 rebounds per game. The last time these two teams played in December, the veteran shooting guard had five rebounds. He has gone over the 4.5 rebound mark in 18 out of 27 games this season. In Minnesota’s last five games, Beasley is averaging 5.6 rebounds per game.
