The Texas Longhorns and West Virginia Mountaineers each had a game postponed earlier this week and will return to the court for the first time since last Saturday. The game will tip off on Saturday, February 20th from the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas.

Texas (13-5, 7-4 Big 12) had their game against the Oklahoma Sooners postponed due to the inclement weather in the area. The Longhorns had been on a two-game winning streak with wins over the Kansas State Wildcats 80-77 and TCU Horned Frogs 70-55. Texas will get a much bigger test against West Virginia, though the Longhorns won the previous matchup 72-70 on the road January 9th. Texas ranks inside the top 25 both in adjusted offensive and defensive efficiency.

West Virginia (14-6, 7-4 Big 12) had their game postponed against the Baylor Bears this week, also due to the weather. The Mountaineers are coming off a 91-90 double-overtime loss to the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday, led by Derek Culver’s 29 points and 14 rebounds. The Mountaineers rank 10th in the country in terms of adjusted offensive efficiency and 18th in KenPom.

The Best Bet

The defense and athleticism of both these teams should overwhelm their scoring ability. West Virginia defends as well as anyone in America, and they also can’t make a shot for long stretches. Pray for no overtime and take...
