The Portland Trail Blazers have won six straight games despite being without two of their best three players for an extended period of time. Damian Lillard has carried a heavy load while CJ McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic have been hurt, and he’ll be up against the Washington Wizards' dynamic backcourt on Saturday.
Both teams have high-powered offenses and below-average defenses, and we’ll go over some ideal lines available on DraftKings Sportsbook centered around the matchup.
Washington Wizards vs. Portland Trail Blazers, 10:00 p.m. ET
Pick ATS: Trail Blazers -4.5
Portland is one of the hottest teams in the NBA and easily handled Washington earlier this month by claiming an 11-point victory. Both teams have essentially the same personnel this time around, but the Trail Blazers will have home-court advantage. Six Blazers scored at least 14 points the first time these two teams faced off, and Washington hasn’t gotten any better on defense since then. Portland’s explosive offense, which has scored at least 120 points 12 times this year, would have to tank against the worst the NBA has to offer defensively. I don’t see that happening.
Player Prop: Bradley Beal O31.5 points (-110)
The NBA’s leading scorer dropped 37 points on the Trail Blazers earlier this season and has tallied at least 32 points in 12 of the 24 games he’s appeared in. Beal is averaging 24 shots and just under nine free throws per game, so it’d take an extremely inefficient shooting night for Beal to fall short. I like his odds against a bottom-10 defense.
