No. 15 Texas Tech has had a rough run lately and enters Monday on a two-game losing streak. The Red Raiders fell to No. 13 West Virginia and No. 23 Kansas last week and will take on Oklahoma State on Monday to kick off the week. The Cowboys are no longer ranked but secured victory on the road against Texas Tech earlier this season. The rematch could be another close game.
Texas Tech (14-7. 6-6) is actually half a game back from Oklahoma State in the conference standings. Maintaining a strong record in the Big 12 is difficult when six of the 10 teams competing and ranked inside the top 25, but the Red Raiders have managed to be competitive. Mac McClung had a poor performance in Texas Tech’s last loss and will likely have to bounce back on Monday. He scored 21 points in his first meeting with the Cowboys this season.
Oklahoma State (14-6, 7-6) rebounded from a two-game losing streak last Tuesday by topping Iowa State and has a chance to climb back into the top 25. Cowboys Freshman sensation Cade Cunningham leads the Cowboys with 18.6 points per game and was less than stellar the last time these two teams met. He’s capable of taking over games and a strong showing from him could power Oklahoma State to a regular-season sweep.

The Best Bet
Both teams got subpar performances from their stars in this matchup earlier this season, and that’s not likely to happen again. Cunningham can be effective even when he’s not scoring by making hustle plays on defense and rebounding, and he’s also been much less streak than McClung throughout the year. I like the odds of the top prospect in the 2021 NBA Draft.
Pick: Oklahoma State +2
