Lakers vs. Jazz, 10:00 p.m. ET, ESPN

Pick ATS: Jazz -8.5

The line for Wednesday night’s game is currently set at 8.5 points, with Utah unsurprisingly being favored at home. The Lakers have struggled mightily without Anthony Davis in their last three games and it doesn’t help that they don’t have Dennis Schroder. Schroder has been out due to health and safety protocols, but could reportedly return on Friday.

Los Angeles is 1-4 against the spread in their last five games and 9-7 ATS on the road this season. The Lakers have only been underdogs once, which was on Jan. 21 against the Milwaukee Bucks (+1.5). They ended up covering and winning the game, but that was when they were at full strength. The Jazz are a different type of team from last season and are looking for their 15th-straight home win. Utah has been best bet this season with an outstanding 9-1 record ATS in their last 10 games. They are also 13-2-1 at home this season and 5-0 in there last five home contests.

Player Prop: Royce O’Neale O1.5 3-pointers made (+118)

The Lakers’ perimeter defense has struggled in their last three contests, which is a far cry from their season average. This season, the Lakers are one of the better teams defending the three-point line at 35.1 percent. However, that number has gone up to 38.1 percent in their last-three contest.

This does not bode well going against a Jazz team that is shooting 39.7 percent from behind the arc this season and 41.1 percent in their last three games. Royce O’Neale is a solid play for Wednesday night as he’s only shooting 42.1 percent from three on 4.1 attempts per game.

Furthermore, he has gone over 1.5 three-pointers made in 18 out of 31 games this season. In the Jazz’s last five games, O’Neale has only made 1.4 threes, but he’s gone over his prop total three times.
